Luffy learns of Shirahoshi's plight.
Never get between a hungry man and his food.
Summary:
From somewhere far away, Van Der Decken X tosses a large axe with a rose painted on it as a show of "affection" towards Shiraboshi. Back in Shiraboshi's room, the princess is crying and calling for the guards, an Luffy doesn't know what to do. Suddenly, Decken's axe flies through the open door towards Shiraboshi, but Luffy jumps up and bounces the axe away. Soon after, guards arrive to check on the princess, and Shiraboshi hides Luffy and lies that she was having a bad dream. The guards report that they are searching for Luffy for suspicion of kidnapping mermaids and possible endangerment to the island, and Luffy's crew has probably been captured. After the guards leave, Shiraboshi thanks Luffy for saving her pet shark Megalo. Luffy wonders about the flying axe, and Shiraboshi explains that Van Der Decken has the ability to hit a target from anywhere at any time, and so for safety Shiraboshi cannot leave her tower. Luffy then starts chowing down on Shiraboshi's food and is annoyed when Shiraboshi tries to bother him. Shiraboshi starts crying again, but then Luffy invites her to go out for a walk and promises he'll bounce any flying weapons away.
Meanwhile in the lobby of the palace, Nami, Usopp and Brook are fighting the guards who are trying to put them in jail. Keimi and Pappug try to convince the Straw Hats to stand down, but the pirates aren't going away without a fight. With the guards not making much progress, King Neptune decides to enter the fray himself, but he is confronted by Zoro who heard the commotion.
In the Fishman district of "Noah", Van Der Decken meets up with the New Fishman Pirates and the two groups agree to collaborate in their evil schemes.

This chapter basically explains the relationship between Van Der Decken and Shiraboshi. Shiraboshi is basically trapped in her tower because Van Der Decken can attack her any time from anywhere, but now Luffy is here to free her once again. Luffy was quite rude to Shiraboshi at points in this chapter, but for Luffy food has always taken a much higher priority than girls. I'm not sure why Van Der Decken is so obsessed with Shiraboshi. Sure, Shiraboshi is a looker, but she is WAY too big even for a big fishman like Van Der Decken lol.
Van Der Decken joining forces with Hodi Jones simplifies the villain situation a bit, as now Luffy and friends will just have to beat both of them up. Caribou is still wandering around, but it's hard to say if the series will make him a serious villain. As for the Neptune Army, they aren't the bad guys, but due to Madam Shirley's prediction and the missing mermaids, King Neptune's forces want to put Luffy's crew in jail and that doesn't go over well with the pirates. This might be the misunderstanding that allows the bad guys to capitalize and get somewhere with their evil plan.
