The chapter begins as Smoker and Vergo fight as Smoker chastises Vergo for his betrayal, especially since the men at the base he used to work at looked up to him like a father. Vergo seems to not care at all, and uses his immense strength in a blowgun to try to stop Smoker, but it doesn’t work. Smoker lands a strong hit on Vergo, and explains that the main reason why he I angry is that the men’s lives are now in his hands and he wants to protect
