Conserving energy and trying to be warm, some sacrifices must be made. Though in Chiaki’s case, it’s isn’t really a sacrifice as she doesn’t know Mako-chan’s true idenity. Ignorance is bliss! He ranaway both times, for he is a true man. (And if Chiaki were to find out… a dead one.)
