Hataraku Maou-sama First Impressions! Bad thing that Oreshura and Kotoura-san are over, but guess what, new season starts and first series that I will be blogging is Hataraku Maou-sama. Lets get to the center of this...It is hilarious and interesting enough to keep me hook on this. Premise is simple...Dark Lord Satan, Lord of the underworld and his minions declared war against the human world. However, He was defeated and had to retreat with his loyal henchman to....JAPAN! Well, not surprising enough right? Anyway, Lets change the Satan word and call him Lord Maou. Their escape came with a price. Their true form are gone and now, They are human. They suffer hunger, They dont have any power or little of it and They have to earn their living. The GREAT, ALL MIGHTY lord Maou is now an employee in a fast food restaurant.(What was the name again? MgRonald?) They adapt very well after using the little magic They have. They even speak good Japanese considering the odd language They spoke at first. It is funny how this terrifying figures are now a comedy pair trying to live in a world without magic. Many parts of the story gave me the laughs. I really feel like the Simpsons Comic guy wondering...WTF is this?? Love the references of "Holy Potter" and They even mentioned the "Super Size Me" documentary. Wow! Animation is top notch and seiyuu do their good job. Story is a little bit unbelievable at first. The story gives a 180 degree turn from incredible drama, fantasy story to a sort of comedy story. Love the cliffhanger at the end. A possible romantic turn between Maou and his arch enemy?? I am in! Give it a try. First episode greenlit the blogging from Toonleap! Lets see if the trend keep its pace. Good stuff! P.s. In case you wonder about the "Satan" thing? It is not THE one.
