It's finally Wang-wang Taichou's turn to shine! Since he's a Taichou, it's quite pathetic that he has to use his Bankai against a fraccion. But well, in terms of physical size, his Bankai is the only one who can go up against Poww. I'm not exactly impressed by this battle as I never like battles involving giants because I find their movements too slow and clumsy.Anyway, I'm not sure if I heard correctly, but at around the 8 min when Wang-wang Taichou and Poww faced off, there's a barking noise in the background music. Even though both characters were looking fierce and serious, I was laughing. It totally reminds me of the nickname Yachiru gave to Komamura - Wang-wang! On the side note, I'm glad that there's no more Substitute Shinigami Work Diary. Ikkaku denies having such power and refuses to give up fighting. However, Ikkaku is no match for Poww and Komamura has to step in to save him while Iba acts quickly to stop the return of the real Karakura Town due to the destroyed pillar.Komamura vs PowwPoww responds with a big punch, which sends Komamura flying. After that, Poww decides to release his Zanpakutou (Resurreccion), which is called Calderon and when released, he looks like a gigantic whale. Iba then immediately drags Ikkaku away so that they won’t get killed. Poww tries to crush them, but Komamura stops him and throws him over his shoulder. Komamura then goes into Bankai mode (Kokujou Tengen Myou-ou) and uses his armored giant to deflect Poww’s cero. Poww proves to be no match for the armored giant and Komamura finally introduces himself before he finishes Poww off.After Komamura's victory, Iba comments that there’s a world of difference between his Taichou’s Bankai and Ikkaku’s, thus implying that he knew about Ikkaku's Bankai all along. Iba is p*ssed that Ikkaku fails his job of protecting the pillar because of his pride. Iba stresses to Ikkaku that it's important to do whatever it takes to fulfill the job given. He also suggests to Ikkaku that if he wants to proud, he needs to become more powerful.
