OP: "Kimi ni Todoke (きみにとどけ)" by Tanizawa Tomofumi - I noticed that it isn't that easy to adjust to the voice of Tanizawa Tomofumi as the singer of the OP. It was, as you may think as well, rough but I think he has someone that resembles that kind of voice. Comparing the person that I was talking about with him, he's probably better with a less rough voice.

Summary: Prologue
Kuronuma Sawako is a high school girl feared by his classmates because of her looks, and the rumors about her. Some even call her Sadako because of her resemblance to a character from Ring. However, she is misunderstood by many people because she only wants to be friend with them. The person he looks up is her popular classmate Kazehaya Shouta, a lively, cheerful person, who Sawako met on the first day and received a "Thank you," instead of a "Sorry," for pointing out the directions to their school.
On that particular day, Kazehaya announces to the class that there will be a Test of Courage event, hoping that everyone, including to the rumored Sawako, to join. Later, the teacher asks for any volunteers to help him during summer. Sawako, hoping that could open up to people, volunteers but Kazehaya objects to it because it was always her who has to do it. In the end, he volunteers himself. She still insists on doing it so she eventually gets the job though she was really happy and impressed that Kazehaya paid attention to her in a good way.
While Sawako was sprinkling the water, her friend, Shino, came to talk with her. They keep on talking about her but ends up talking about the great personality Kazehaya has. After Kazehaya overhears about what she said, Shino left for him to talk with her privately. Talking with him was something memorable that won't happen much but it was worth it for Sawako. As she talks with him, she realizes that he knows her real full name. Hoping that she would convey her feelings properly by speaking with them properly, she thought up of joining the Test of Courage event.
At the end of the day, she went to their classroom to sign up without letting them know but she overhears two of her female classmates, Yano Ayane and Yoshida Chizuru, talking about her to act as a ghost. Sawako suddenly appears before them and to their surprise, she agrees on doing it to join the test. Thanks to the message that Kazehaya gave to her, she told them honestly that she can't sense any supernatural events.
On the night of the event, Sawako hides in the forest, appear standing, and look back with evil intentions on her looks and scares everyone who comes by until Kazehaya shows up himself. They decided to sit down and talk honestly. Ayane and Chizuru came by to tell Sawako that she did a good job and give her a drink. Kazehaya notices that she became a better person. Sawako claims that it was all thanks to Kazehaya who made her that person. Kazehaya became embarassed when she looks at him which lead to some new feelings in her.
School next day, the other guys know that Kazehaya didn't finish the test of courage and forces him to go out with Sawako for a week as punishment. Kazehaya is pissed off because it's rude to a girl to do it. Sawako notices that he was protecting her and because of that, his reputation might go down to pieces so Sawako, herself, spoke to protect Kazehaya's reputation and to clear up misunderstandings.
The next day, while she was walking, Sawako had her mind occupied that she did the right thing but suddenly cries over the loneliness because she thinks he'll never talk to her ever again. Much to her surprise, she finds him waiting for her on the way to school during summer vacation to help their teacher. He hands a bag of candies as apology from the class with a smile on his face. Kazehaya, then, felt that Sawako doesn't understand him that well than what she thinks because he actually wants to see her over summer break. Remembering the past, he still kept on thinking the smile she had on her face.

ED: "Kataomoi (片想い)" by Chara - I'm starting to like the OP more rather than the ED especially if you hear the first line. It starts to flow better, smoothly as the song goes especially halfway through it. I can't, without a doubt, say that this is bad.

Impression:
If I could say more, I'd be pointing out the background of the series; the watercolor-like look. It was catchy and you can find many parts in this series as your wallpaper, that's how great it is! That's probably most of the thing that I stared thinking that time won't last long looking at it. You can't wonder why it's graet now since it's 'cause of Production I.G. Cheers!
As the first episode, I think it was kind of "too fast" in the progression. Knowing what happen, there were too many scenes although it was enough to point out that it was her best for that day. The fast progression isn't kind of fitted for this kinds of anime though you can't deny the fact that it was great for a series introduction.
So, it was pretty great on how they conveyed the fact why Kuronuma Sawako was that scary although I still think they exaggerated that, in fact, she really is. The exaggeration was wat makes it good, though so I guess I shouldn't complain about that. As Kazehaya, he was cool with a great reputation but it kind of made me laugh that they also made something "too much": I'm referring to his way of standing. I'm sure there's nothing wrong with it as an anime but if it were to point out in real life, I guess that it is.
In this case, I can't say no more that it is a great series; hoping that it really is.
